Evolution is not a proven fact.
According to Dr. Henry Morris, founder of the Institute for Creation
Research, “No one has ever seen anything evolve, no one knows
how evolution works, the fossil record shows no evolutionary transitions
taking place, and the basic laws of science show it to be impossible.
Yet evolutionists insist that this is “science” and
should be taught as
proved fact to schoolchildren.
Dr. Henry M. Morris, Science and the Bible, page 61
If you consider the heavens, even if you grew up alone on a desert
island, you would have to ask questions like: How did all of this
come into being, or how big is the universe, or how far does space
go, or how did we get here? This would require you to come to the
conclusion that:
If anything exists, it must have been created by a higher power,
or it must have created itself from nothing.
The theory of evolution is a belief that the universe created itself
from nothing and changed by itself over a long period
of time, to become what we know today.
The theory of creation is a belief that the universe was created
by God from nothing in six days, according to
the Bible.
What is required to believe in something? Faith
Why do some believe in evolution? Simply because they want to...Not because they have proof of it. Consider these quotes from Isaac Asimov:
About 4.6 billion years ago, the solar system formed from a cloud
of dust and gas containing complex atoms that had developed in the
interior of stars and been strewn through space by supernova explosions.
That cloud might, however, have already existed for billions of
years. Why did it start contracting and condensing when it did?
We don’t really know why, but one suggestion is that a nearby
supernova sent out a blast that compressed a portion of the cloud
nearest to itself.
Isaac Asimov, Guide to Earth and Space, page 199
Until nearly 1800 (A.D.), almost everyone in our Western tradition
supposed Earth to be about 6,000 years old. Those who believed this
did so entirely as a result of their interpretation of the words
of the Bible, which they accepted as divine truth, but this was
faith and not scientific evidence.
Isaac Asimov, Guide to Earth and Space, page 26
“I am an atheist, out and out. I don’t have the evidence
to prove that God doesn’t exist, but I so strongly suspect
He does not that I don’t want to waste my time.”
Isaac Asimov (1982) “Context”
Is the theory of evolution a proven fact? No. (You’re kidding.
According to most high school and college textbooks, the media,
the movie industry and many teachers, it is. Are you sure? Yes.
Like creation, it is a belief, not fact.)
Is the theory of evolution even science? No. Read on.
